Al Mann was passionate about the enrichment that comes through arts and cultural experiences. 

We are excited to partner with the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles to deliver a new exhibit focused on antisemitism. With plans to open in 2024, the third floor at the Museum of Tolerance will be dedicated to promoting education on antisemitism and telling the story of the oldest hate in the world that is tragically on the rise today.

St. Barnabas Senior Services

St. Barnabas offers a wide array of programs, such as weekly meals, group classes, social services, case management, transportation, tech education, family caregiver support, advocacy, and more.

Education and Youth Development

We believe in the power of education and youth development. Below are a few of the educational institutions and youth development organizations we support.

 

We provide Alfred E. Mann Charities YOLA Scholarships to 10 deserving graduates of Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA). YOLA is the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s initiative to provide music instruction and instruments to young people, and through these scholarships, we provide funding for YOLA graduates to matriculate and thrive in colleges across the country with continued financial support for their college careers. 

Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA)

YOLA⁠—the LA Philharmonic’s music education program⁠—currently serves close to 1,700 young musicians across five sites, providing them with free instruments, intensive music instruction (up to 18 hours per week), academic support, and leadership training.

C5 Los Angeles

C5 Youth Foundation of Southern California aims to change the odds for high-potential teens from under-resourced communities by inspiring them to pursue personal success, while preparing them for leadership roles in school, college, work and their communities.

Strive

Strive provides exemplary academic and guidance resources to children, youth and their families in the Watts community of Los Angeles.
